We thank God: January 2013

We thank God for bringing us through 2012 and ushering us into 2013. I don’t know what your expectations are for this year however, I would like to encourage you to expect A YEAR OF SUPERNATURAL GRACE.

As I shared on the last Sunday of last year, we all need to find time to take stock of the previous year and also plan for this one. We all need to build rest into the rhythm of our lives in order to hear the Lord clearer as we meditate on His Word. We will have time to appreciate what we have and focus on what matters most. Let us determine this to enjoy our relationship with the Lord and with one another.

We were also encouraged from Luke 5 that the Lord has something significant for us all to do so we should not settle for anything less. As a church, we trust the Lord to help us reach and disciple a significant number of people.

Currently we host a large Romanian fellowship that meets on Sunday afternoons and we are seeking ways to fellowship together as one church. This year we will see the Kingdom of God extended among all ages and backgrounds. The question is will you be a part of the willing labourers needed for the harvest?

As we have done in the last few years, we are having a period of fasting and prayer this month. We are doing a Daniel fast starting from Friday 11th January – 1st February. It is a 21-day fast where we abstain from meat, animal products and beverages. It is based mainly on fruit, vegetables and water. We encourage everybody to participate in it at the level you desire to. Please seek advice where necessary, especially if you are pregnant or on medication.

We trust that many will experience healing in their bodies during this time. The main passage we are using is Jeremiah 33:3.

‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

As the Lord has promised, we expect the Holy Spirit to reveal things to us as we seek Him diligently. The prayer bulletin prepared will serve as a guideline to direct our times of prayer. We are also launching a new initiative called HOUSES OF PRAYER. Please find which house of Prayer is closest to you or the evening you want to attend. There will also be joint times of Prayer on the Mondays (especially for leaders) and Friday nights.

Finally, we are excited to release our first IIC Calendar. Although it does not include every detail it gives an overview of what has been planned for the year 2013. It features the core themes of our vision and special events for the year. We will be unveiling our New IIC logo on the 11th of January and our New Website in February.

Please look out for our one day Discipleship Conference on Saturday 9th of February. God bless you richly.
